2024 ONE ROOM CHALLENGE

Its time!

Spring 2024 One Room Challenge starts this week, which means over the next 6 weeks, me and many others will be transforming a unique space in our homes.

Ok friends, its fair to judge me! This room needs a whole ass makeover and I couldn’t be more excited to create the maximalist bedroom I have always wanted. I have big ideas for this room; bold paint, new bed and rug, custom console, custom lighting; the list goes on and on but one thing about me, I’m-ma change my mind so make sure you are follow along here and on my Instagram @tuftinteriors.

Current state of this bedroom….

Danielle McKim, Creative. Self-Made. Mom. Entrepreneur. DIY & Interior Design Pro. If you have ever met her, you know she is loud, unconventional, and deeply in love with design and furniture. Danielle is a New York native who moved to Charlotte after attending Clemson University and instantly fell in love with this little gem of a city. Since settling here, Danielle has gotten married, had two beautiful babies, opened a business, and bought and renovated two homes. You could say interior design and refurbishing furniture are where she thrives.

When she closed her store in 2015, Danielle set out to create the designs, furniture, and content that she wanted to see in the market. She is an enduring maximalist who aims to consume the room rather than create negative space. “I love to breathe new life into reclaimed pieces and have a reputation for devouring the rooms and areas I work within. I want my clients to fall in love with vintage items as I have. I want people not to fear patterns, prints, and bold colors, but perhaps most importantly, I want to help people create and curate a home that reflects their unique style!” Danielle has been aptly featured in Domino, Apartment Therapy, Home Design & Decor Charlotte, Furniture Today, The Spruce, and The Charlotte Agenda for her distinct and recognizable designs.
